So, my laptop has once again been infected with some sort of spyware. *Angry face* Until I get the problem fixed, I won't be able to post for awhile (I'm writing this from work... shhhhhh). That means I also haven't had a chance to read everyone else's blogs. *Sad face*
I'm not sure if I'll completely re-format my computer like I did last time, or just take it somewhere to get fixed. I'm not very good at this stuff. So if anyone has any spyware solutions (or preventative actions for future reference), feel free to pass them along!
Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back in business. 'Cuz I know you're all waiting to see photos of our (almost) finished sidewalk!!!
Sad! My PC kicked the bucket a while back too. My solution? Buy a Mac. :-) Other than that, I used to run Ad-Aware on my PC and that seemed to be pretty good, but overall I'm pretty clueless. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBooo!!! I went through that last year. I wish people weren't such jerks and would leave us public out of their stupid virus mess! How is it fun to ruin other peoples stuff??
ReplyDeleteOh darn, it's always annoying when that happens. Honestly you are better off just reinstalling your operating system. Sometimes trying to clean viruses is time consuming and often you don't get everything cleaned off anyway. Reinstalling only takes around a half hour with recovery cds (at least that's how my system works). Don't be intimidated - if I were there, I would fix it for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThat stinks! But MAYBE as a preventative measure, you should stop looking at all that porn. ;) DESIGN porn, I mean, of course! I kid, I kid. But really - hope you're back in action soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your sympathy and the tips! I really ak considering getting a Mac! I hear they're less susceptible to this crap, for reasons unknown to me.
ReplyDeleteMolly - yeah, you'd think I'd learn my lesson by now, huh? Ha!
Yucky, I just got a new laptop because mine pretty much burned a hole in my legs when I used it. HA
ReplyDeleteCool people have Macs ;)
ReplyDeleteBummer! I hope things aren't too bad :(.
ReplyDeleteCrazy! I wonder if both of our computers got the same bug. Ours is possibly hopeless (and its old). I've been thinking about a mac too!! Good luck getting it fixed!
ReplyDeleteI hate pc issues, boo!! I hope your back in action soon
ReplyDeleteGrrr... 'Puter problems are THE WORST.
